BANK OF AFRICA – RWANDA is a private commercial bank that operates in Rwanda serving businesses/entities and individuals.
BANK OF AFRICA began operations in Rwanda in October 2015 after the acquisition of AGASEKE BANK which had been operating in Rwanda since November 2003.
The major shareholders of the bank include :
- BANK OF AFRICA Group and ,
- a private local shareholder,
BANK OF AFRICA – RWANDA is part of BANK OF AFRICA Group which opened in 1982 with its head office in Bamako, Mali but now in Dakar, Senegal.
As at 31st December 2021 it had a total balance sheet of Frw 123 979 million, total customer deposits of Frw 48 804 million with 182 effective employees.
In Rwanda, the bank now has 14 branches, including 8 branches in Kigali and 6 branches up country. (Muhanga, Huye, Musanze, Rubavu, Rusizi and Kayonza) and 1 outlet in Kigali.
